...In with the new

What an exciting day!  Starting my new job tonight, going back to regular-old-taking-care-of-people nursing, and only about 5 minutes from home.  That's a wonderful thing in and of itself - I already feel appreciated and I haven't even clocked in there yet.  A huge sigh of relief after the stress and chagrin of the past couple of months at the old digs, though I will miss many of the people.

Got some new books in the mail yesterday - a couple of which are diet-kinda-books.  The bald one has been doing a stellar job of cutting calories, down to about 1200 a day or less - which has him whittling down very noticeably.  He's lost around 35 pounds in 5 weeks and looks amazing.  But his willpower is inspiring to me, so I'm gonna get on the wagon and see if I can't find my abs again.

And I got my big ol' box of Mary Kay in the mail today.  I have vowed to start taking honest care of my skin, so I don't look old before I feel old.  So, the regimen starts today, and even though it's going to take a little more time, I know it'll pay off big time.  Every Mary Kay lady I know has fabulous skin - so it's time for me to pony up and do it right.  Who knows, maybe I'll even sell more one of these days, though I am thrilled to have made my very first official sale.  Just a mascara, but it's a start!

Okay, shower time.
