If you know me, you know I'm full of opinions. If you don't know me, you'll learn that soon enough. All of what you see here represents just that: my opinions. Not those of any employer, family member, group or association. Just me.

Comments are most welcome from real people.

Comment spammers: neither I nor my esteemed readers have any interest in your Indonesian prostitutes or your erectile dysfunction drugs CHEAP! or your rambling word salad with key tech terms thrown in to generate traffic for who knows what. You can go right to hell.

Comment Spam Woes

My apologies to all of you normal people who have actual comments... Because I'm tired of deleting bullshit comments from non-English speaking escort services and semi-literate healthcare doofuses... I've turned on comment moderation, at least for a bit. Sorry.
More tomorrow, I'm tired.

Too long without cheap therapy

...as reminded, occasionally, by friends who either used to stop by here often, or people who happen upon it freshly... And I think to myself, "Self: blog more often."  I could add that to my list of New Years Resolutions, or more aptly, my list of New Years Lofty Goals I'll Stick to for About Three Weeks."  You know, the list that goes something like this, every year:

1) Exercise more often
2) Drink more water
3) Write more
4) Take more time for myself
5) Take better care of my skin
6) Be more fiscally responsible

Yup, every year.  Still hoping one of these years I can actually stick to one of those things.
Only this year, Hayley and I added an additional one... Say 'no' at least once a week.  The kid shares my affliction of being a total pushover...and my frustration from being a pushover.  So we decided, at least once a week, we'll say no when asked "Will you..." or "Can I borrow..." and so forth.  So far, so good.
Yeah, I know it's still technically the first week.  Shut up.

Getting ready to brave my way back into the trenches tonight - absolutely got our asses handed to us last night, 6 ICU patients at once and no beds to be had upstairs... Luckily I was fully staffed or I would have completely lost my mind instead of just partway.  I actually went on divert.  Complete, total, holy-shit-stop-all-ambulance-traffic-before-we-inadvertently-kill-somebody, aaaaarrrgh-I-want-my-mommy divert.  Only for 55 minutes, but still.  I freakin' hate that.  Tonight will most likely be better.

Now then.  Byeeeeee....
